(1) The authority to promote and appoint the following police personnel shall be vested in the following officers:-
(a) In the post of Senior Superintendent of Police and Deputy Inspector General of Police – Government of Nepal (b) Deputy Inspector of Police to the rank of Superintendent of Police – Chief
(2) When making an appointment according to sub-rule (1), based on the recommendation made by the promotion committee, the promotion appointment shall be given within twenty one days from the date of receipt of the recommendation.
